The back-packer goes on outtracks, looking for an authentic bite of the countries he explores. Apart from being the cheapest way to travel, this is also the most exciting, the most intense, and the most rewarding kind of trip above all. But it is also more exhausting, this way leads us far from our confort zone, and challenges us to excel ourselves. Despise the rougthness of this way of traveling, meeting an old back-packer with grey hair and a walking stick is unrare. Despends on your temper: Are you slippers or trekking shoes?
One of a “roots-style” trip:
Musicians, dancers, circassians, photographs, and other artists hiding from fame…we’re all quite broke, yeah? But we want to go for a long time anyway! That means we won’t play princesses, we will carry our backpacks, hitchhikke, sleep in tents, hamoks, or under the stars, recycle our food out of the markets strashes, play our shows in the streets, etc..This maybe weird for some people to live this way. For some others it’s just a bliss! Well, in countries like India or Georgia we will live quite like the natives. But once we got to Europe will start our gypsy-style tour.
How to describe this way of traveling?
THE ENVIRONMENT:
The nature first of all! What a magnificence to wake ourselves up in the woods, or at the edge of the sea, to see some wild animals hanging around; how nice is it to go to pick plants up for the meal with somebody who is expert in living the wild life, and to have diner all together around a campfire, with the moon brightening your steps once you go to bed… Nature is full of those simply magic gifts.
The street life next, with its treasures. Everybody knows about its dangers, we know how to avoid them. But its treasures? Every musicians know it only takes to go out in the sunshine with your instrument to make new friends. The public space is the best for sharing and meeting. It’s also a window to one place’s social realities. And because everybody can walk the streets, we want to give shows there as well. We believe art is to be shared and a good way to keep the streets a place for social life.
The people are part of our environment, with their traditions, their similarities and differences. Seing things from different perspectives helps us to grow. We are going to countries were people are known for their kindness and hospitality. We will also meet lots of artist and travelers from all other the world, with whom we may also have good exchanges and friendships.
RECYCLING:
Dive in the bin, stop the wasting! Have you ever seen how much food the markets waste in Europe? Boxes full of yummy stuff! It’s a moral matter, socialy and ecologicaly! But if you want to buy and cook your own food, feel free!
HITCHHIKKING:
Concentrated adventure pack! This feeling when you turn your thumb up after a longtime staying at one place, along some sunny road. Ok, well, they are hardtimes too. Like when you find yourself walking along an highway, under a crazy rain, to get to the gas station 1 mile away… Yes, this is adventure, haha! But it’s also your chance to meet the nicest people in da place. Truely! ❤ Once again you do as you choose, we are not a travel agency! We will give you advices and make it as safe as possible by making groups of 2 or 3, but you can also take a train or bus when you prefer.
WILD CAMPING:
The ground is a bit hard, sometimes the sky decided to turn your tent into a swimming pool and some animal ate your bananas during the night. Well, but wild camping is free, and most of the time you just wake up in the middle of the nature to enjoy the quietness of those moments of inner peace…
BUSKING :
The street are a lifefull theater! The show is influenced by the “here and now” factor each single time. The public is right here, you can now interact with each others. No one is forced to stay till the end of the show, no one has to be there on time, the show is free, although who ever liked it can donate. This is a way for us to stay free, so our art can develop freely too. Also, it is honnestly easier to busk in the streets than to organize shows on stages by our own!
