The Aeolian Tribe is not a travel agency, it’s your task to make the organization of your travel and your budget. We will share all the infos we have for a cheap travel. We truely advise you to take a travel insurance that would pay for any health trouble… When you go to the other side of the world, you must expect to get illnesses you never heard of before, haha! Please take it seriously, we don’t want to find ourselves crowfunding to save your ass!

As the autor of this text is french, there are plenty infos for the frenchies. Sorry we didn’t take the time to check on all the infos for the whole world! But if you do check for your own, you may be kind enougth to share the infos and good tips on the comments! 🙂

In France a worldwide travel insurance cost from 30 to 80€/month. It’s quite a big difference of price for not such a big difference of insurance so dig deep to find the right price in your country!

Check also the info for the visas, some countries are exempted, some others have to pay a fee…

These infos are not to take as real cost, as you may want to spend more or less. If you have back-packing experiences you may know that everything is possible.

INDIA:

About the plane tickets, we can help you find the best prices, just ask. Count from 200€ to 400€ for a flight (one-way) from Europe to India.

The indian visa cost 44€ for 2 months if asked here:

There are visas for 6 months too, check with the indian ambassady of your country. Here for the frenchies.

To get a home together there, count 50€/month. /!\ Doesn’t mean we will all have a private room for this price.
To fed yourself, count 50€/month
For transportation, count 40€/month. We will travel very slow in order to get into the local vibes and to save money.
For classes count 4€/classe, so for 5 classes a week count 80€/month/courses you want to take (dance, music, whatever…)

To conclude, count a 320€/month for a ok-living, knowing that the average month salary per personne in India is around 114€.
MYSTERY DESTINATION TO CHOOSE TOGETHER
We gave ourselves a 250€ max budget for the plane ticket and visa. Budget will be similar to India’s as we want to stay in cheap places. We may as well just go to Nepal, not needing any plan ticket then.

GEORGIA
For a plane from south east Asia to Georgia, count around 200€.
Prices are slightly higher in Georgia than in India, count around 350€ for a month there.

TURKEY:
Slightly higher prices than in Georgia, count around 400€ to go through the country during a month.

In Europe, we will be earning more than we’ll spend as we camp, hichhikke, recycle our food… We will be sharingthe incomes from our shows and events, and will be able to get a car to carry our heavy materials (instruments, costumes, tents,…). In 4 mois we hope to get more than we spent during the traveling year.

It is a good idea to leave some money to someone you trust, in case of troubles during your travel!

It is ok for us if you want to travel with no money at all but you have to be autonomous anyway, as we won’t be able to provide for you, hippies! 🙂
