  • “Do we have to go for the whole trip or is it possible to come for a shorter period of time?”
It is possible to come for a shorter period of time (2 weeks minimum).
  •

  • “How much does it cost to join?”
There is no admission fee or so. We are a tribe, not a travel agency. You already have to pay for your visa, transportation, your food, your courses and we will share commun expenses like the costs of accomodations (except if you prefer to find your own for more confort). You can find infos about the minimum advised budget here. Keep in mind we are both nomads & artists so we are kind of cheap, the minimum cost can lead to the minimum confort too.

  • “So you will travel in a camping car?”
No, when we say “a caravan” we mean a group of people travelling together as in the first meaning of the word “caravan”. We are back-packers so we will mostly take trains, buses, sometimes hike, or hitchhikke when possible and safe enougth. We also plan to take a plane between Asia and Middle-Orient (cf “Itinerary”) and we may buy a car in Europe to transport heavy materials (instruments, costumes, juggling equipment, big pots, etc…).

  • “Who is going to teach what?”
Once again we are not a travel agency. We only know about the first step at the Kalbelia’s camp, the rest of the adventure will depend on its protagonists. It will be up to the musicians to find their teachers, up to the dancers to find theirs, up to the jugglers, the accrobats, the actors, etc etc… There is no mama or papa in our group, you must be autonomous! But so you can choose your teachers, which is way nicer than just following a group of people.
Aside from this, we will also give workshops to each others. Learning a bit of every Arts will enrich your favorite one for sure! There is no obligation to follow those workshops neither is to give one (actualy there is no obligation for nothing). It is just a cool thing to do! 🙂
